I know it's the same old story, but I really did have good intentions for being more productive blog-wise. But...I've got a small tear in one of the discs of my spine and it's safe to say it's more than a little uncomfortable. It should heal, but I've got lots of PT in my near future. I have been knitting, but its been slow since too much sitting exacerbates the problem. So the knitting is slow, but I'm still determined to finish the shawl before the end of summer. I'm about 2/3 of the way through.

I have been able to sew some since quilting involves cutting and pressing, there is not a lot of uninterrupted sitting. Evie's quilt is almost done; I'm about 2/3 done with the quilting. But I've got the binding all prepped and ready to go.

I've also finished another quilt top...as yet unphotographed. But don't be impressed. The top is going to be the easy part of this quilt. It's the back that might take longer. Ooooh, the mystery...

And since I've been trying to quilt more often...I've started back up with the Paintbox Quilt-Along...
the 5th set of squares.

So...yeah, that's where I am right now. Sorry for the long delay. And I still have a finished knitting project that need photographing...I just lost my normal photographer (the brother) to nursing school. But he'll be on break this weekend, so maybe it'll get done then. Fingers crossed.

Prayers for you back getting better soon. Those squares are the perfect combo of greens for my taste. I always think I don't like green, then I see so many green things that I like. I should get to know myself better.

Ditto on the prayers, back pain is the worst. I can't wait to see Evie's quilt, I love them little elephants. Funny, you're almost down to the binding stage, and my veriword is bandem. I know, I know - nobody tells the veriword anymore, but mine have been so relevant lately. Sorry, get better.

You need a knitting bag/fannypack/backpack that you can knit while standing and walking...hee...you mean that doesn't sound like fun. I like those green squares too. At least he is only in nursing school and not actually lost. :) B.

Hahaha, knitting while walking doesn't sound to safe for my poor back. I know I'd fall; I'm clumsy that way. :)

And yes, thankfully, the brother is not lost lost, just not around very much.
