SMS Giveaway Day

****CLOSED****

Hey guys, it's that time again - Giveaway Day! Welcome to all the new visitors. This year I'm giving away three things.

1st: Precut triangles and a pattern for making a quilt. I have no idea what size the finished quilt would be since I got these in an Ebay score.

SMS giveaway day 2011 - 1

2nd: A whole set for rug locker hooking. I'm not sure if that's the correct name for the activity, but I'm taking a clue from the book. Anyway, you'll get this book, a canvas rug, a bunch of strips, and the needle thing needed to do this activity. I scored all this on a trip to visit grandparents in Oregon but never actually worked on it, so it's time for it to move on to someone who will.

SMS giveaway day 2011 - 2

3rd: Four and a partial skeins of navy blue acrylic yarn. 205 yards each.

SMS giveaway day - 3

I don't smoke, but I do have cats, so there will probably be some cat hair coming your way as well. It's unavoidable.

The giveaway is running from the 12th thru the 16th at 5pm. To enter, leave me a comment telling me your favorite Christmas movie and which prize you want. Yes, you can enter for all three, but leave a separate comment for each prize. So, have fun, good luck, and I'm glad you stopped by.

Check out all the giveaways here.

Oh, and please remember to make sure I have some way of contacting you.

ps. B. that orange polka dot fabric was Monaluna from Robert Kaufman. And unfortunately I cut the selvage off the snail fabric, so no clue there. Glad you like it!

I'd put that yarn to good use!

I'm not much for Christmas movies -- in fact, I root for the Grinch every year! So if I had to say, put me down for How The Grinch Stole Christmas --- the Original Version, please.

Merry Christmas, a go! Grinch! go!

I'm not much for Christmas movies, either, but I do like Jim Carrey's remake of the Grinch. We always watch a Shirley Temple movie on Christmas day (if there's time, anyway) - does that count as a favorite movie?

I'd love any of those - the rug hooking thing looks nifty, & hubby's been working on rug hooking lately. I knit & crochet, so yarn would be cool too & I've always wanted to quilt!

My favorite Christmas movie would have to be Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. I still watch it every year and say the lines right along with the characters. :)

I'm very curious as to what that quilt would look like when it's all sewn up so I'd go for the triangles. Thank you for the giveaway.

I love all the standard Christmas movies (Charlie Brown Christmas Special, Rudolph (the old one), etc., as well as Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life, and all that). And two (and my entry for prize #2): Meet me in St. Louis, starring Judy Garland. That's the source of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" :)

Oops forgot to tell my favorite movie A Christmas Story.

Nancy Sue said...

I Love all three so per your instructions, I'll leave three messages. For the precut triangles and pattern, I'll let you know that my favorite holiday movie used to scare the beegeebees out of me. (Not the beegees, the heegeebeegees....you know reeally scare me). It was one of the original versions of the Christmas Carol. I had nightmares about that thing!!

Nancy Sue said...

I also love the rug locker hooking book. Have been wanting to try that technique. My other favorite movie is the Christmas Carol version with Kelsey Grammar and all the musical jazz hands that it entails. I think it was a made for TV movie that never really it off. But far much less scary than the original.

Nancy Sue said...

My last comment for the yarnage yummy is my favorite 2 lighter versions of The Christmas Carol. Scrooged with Bill Murray is now a classic and you can't go wrong with the Muppets Christmas Carol. Although my 4 yr old was scared of the beginning. What can I say, he takes after his momma :) Thank you for your generous giveaway and taking time to participate inthe blog hop! Happy holidays!
